Wills and estate work concerns both planning while someone is alive and dealing with assets after a death. Those stages need different instructions. A person making a will, an executor administering an estate and someone considering a claim may have competing interests and require separate advice.

A will, a financial appointment, a health decision-making document and a superannuation nomination do different jobs. Probate is about authority to administer an estate; a dispute about a will or provision from an estate is a separate question. Do not assume every asset passes under the will.
Identify whose advice is needed, the relevant state or territory and whether the task is planning, administration or a dispute. Keep originals safe and ask what copies the office needs. Explain family, business and overseas connections without assuming they can all be handled in one standard document.
